Tafel Learn LLC
Effective Date: April 9, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using any service provided by Tafel Learn LLC ("Tafel," "we," "us," "our"), including tafelmed.com and all associated platforms, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Nature of Service
Tafel provides a structured software system to help users organize, plan, and develop educational and application materials for premed coursework, MCAT preparation support, and medical school admissions.
Tafel is a software platform and an organizational and writing support system.
Tafel is not an admissions decision-maker, a guarantee of admission, a licensed educational institution, an admissions consultant, a medical provider, or a legal, medical, academic, or financial advisor.
The platform provides structured guidance and organizational support. All decisions, actions, coursework, exam registration, application deadlines, and application submissions remain the responsibility of the user.
The platform does not act on your behalf and does not submit coursework, exams, or applications for you.
3. No Guarantee of Outcomes
Use of Tafel does not guarantee grades, exam scores, interviews, admission, scholarships, financial aid, or any result from any school, program, or institution.
Admissions outcomes depend on many factors outside the control of Tafel, including but not limited to institutional decisions, applicant competition, and individual circumstances.
Any readiness scores, competitiveness assessments, school fit evaluations, deadline trackers, writing reviews, or similar outputs provided by the platform are for informational and organizational purposes only and do not predict or guarantee outcomes.
The quality, completeness, and effectiveness of any application materials depend on the accuracy and depth of user input and execution.
Admissions decisions are made by third-party institutions and are outside the control of Tafel Learn LLC.
4. User Responsibility
- The accuracy of all information you provide to the platform.
- Ensuring all submitted application content reflects your own genuine experiences.
- Reviewing, editing, and approving all materials before submission to any institution.
- Complying with the policies, deadlines, prompts, honor codes, and requirements of each institution or application service.
- Maintaining your own copies of critical documents and application materials.
- Making your own admissions, coursework, exam, and application decisions.
You must not submit false or fabricated information, misuse the platform for fraudulent purposes, or use the platform to create application materials that misrepresent your experiences.
You must ensure that all materials created using the platform are truthful, accurate, and reflect your actual experiences and qualifications.
5. User Content Ownership
You retain ownership of all content you create and provide to the platform.
By using the platform, you grant Tafel a limited, non-exclusive license to process, store, and analyze your content solely to provide, secure, and improve the service. This includes using aggregated, anonymized, or de-identified patterns from platform usage to refine our evaluation models and recommendation systems. Your individual content is never shared with other users or used to generate content for anyone else.
We do not send your personal content to third-party services for the purpose of training their AI models.
6. Tafel Proprietary Rights
The platform, software, design, workflows, evaluation logic, scoring methods, recommendation systems, prompts, rubrics, templates, content libraries, sample outputs, school-fit methods, application-review methods, and related materials are owned by Tafel Learn LLC or its licensors.
You receive a limited, non-transferable right to use the service for your personal educational and application planning purposes. You may not copy, scrape, reproduce, publish, benchmark, resell, sublicense, reverse-engineer, extract, or use the platform or its outputs to build or improve a competing product, service, dataset, model, workflow, or commercial offering.
Public examples shown on marketing pages are illustrative summaries only. They do not disclose the full methodology, scoring logic, prompt structure, school data model, or internal review process.
7. Generated and Assisted Content
The platform may provide structured drafts, guided feedback, writing suggestions, and organizational recommendations based on your inputs.
All outputs are derived from information you have provided. You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and approving all content before use in any coursework, exam preparation, application, or institutional submission. You must confirm that generated content reflects your actual experience before saving it.
The platform does not create independent application experiences, credentials, activities, or achievements. You may not use the platform to create content that misrepresents your background, experiences, hours, roles, achievements, or qualifications.
You must not use the platform in a way that violates the application policies, technology-use policies, or integrity requirements of any educational institution or application service.
8. Minors and Parental Consent
Users under the age of 18 must have parental or guardian consent to use the platform. The parent or guardian is responsible for supervising the minor's use of the service and ensuring compliance with these terms.
9. Payments, Subscriptions, and Refunds
Fees are charged for access to certain tiers and features of the service.
If the service is purchased as a subscription, access continues for the purchased term or renewal period unless canceled according to the checkout, billing, or account-management process provided at the time of purchase. Cancellation stops future renewal but does not automatically create a refund for prior charges, partial use, unused time, or missed deadlines.
If a 10-day guarantee is displayed at checkout or on the pricing page for the plan you purchased, you may contact support within 10 days of purchase if the plan does not provide a useful readiness read, school strategy, or next-step plan for your stage. We may either fix the issue or refund the purchase. This guarantee does not apply to misuse, account sharing, violation of these Terms, missed deadlines, admissions outcomes, partial use after the guarantee window, or add-ons unless the add-on checkout page separately states otherwise.
Outside a stated guarantee window or where required by applicable law, payments are final and non-refundable. No refunds will be issued for partial use, unused time, user error, failure to use the service, missed deadlines, admissions outcomes, or termination due to violation of these Terms.
Pricing, packages, access duration, promotional offers, coupon terms, and included features may change. Changes to future pricing or future plan terms do not create a right to a refund for prior purchases.
If you believe a charge is incorrect, contact support before initiating a chargeback. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for fraudulent, abusive, or unresolved payment disputes.
10. Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. Tafel Learn LLC is not liable for any loss or damage arising from unauthorized access to your account due to your failure to protect your credentials.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tafel Learn LLC is not liable for admissions outcomes, school decisions, exam results, course grades, missed deadlines, lost opportunities, or any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages.
Your sole and exclusive remedy for any claim related to the service is a refund of the total amount you paid for access to the platform during the period giving rise to the claim.
Total liability of Tafel Learn LLC to any user shall not exceed the total amount paid by that user for the service.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Tafel Learn LLC, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service, your violation of these terms, your misuse of the platform, or your submission of application materials.
13. Acceptable Use
Use of the platform is subject to the Acceptable Use Policy. Violation of the Acceptable Use Policy may result in suspension or termination of access.
We may monitor usage patterns to detect misuse or violations of the Acceptable Use Policy.
14. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if terms are violated, misuse is detected, payment disputes are unresolved, or if continued access poses a risk to the platform or other users. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting support. Access to paid services may be revoked for violation of terms without refund.
We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably suspect misuse, misrepresentation, account sharing, institutional policy violations, fraud, or attempts to bypass access limits.
15. Service Availability
We strive to maintain continuous availability of the platform but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The platform may experience downtime for maintenance, updates, third-party service issues, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused by temporary unavailability, including but not limited to missed application deadlines.
You are responsible for maintaining copies of critical application materials. The platform is not intended to be your sole storage system for important documents.
You are solely responsible for managing application deadlines and ensuring timely submission of all materials. The platform is a support tool and does not guarantee deadline tracking or submission completion.
16. Third-Party Dependencies
The platform relies on third-party services for hosting, authentication, payment processing, data storage, monitoring, email, analytics, and AI-assisted processing. We are not liable for failures, interruptions, data issues, or service changes caused by third-party providers. We will make reasonable efforts to mitigate the impact of any such disruptions.
17. Feature Evolution and Beta Features
We may modify, add, or remove features at any time. Some features may be released as beta, preview, experimental, or limited-access features. These features may change, be limited, unavailable, inaccurate, or removed at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant changes to users. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
18. Service Provided "As Is"
The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, availability, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular result will be achieved through use of the service.
19. No Professional Advice
Tafel does not provide medical, legal, academic, financial, admissions, or professional advice. All information, recommendations, evaluations, and outputs are provided for organizational and informational purposes only. You should consult qualified professionals for advice specific to your situation.
You agree not to rely solely on the platform for admissions decisions or outcomes.
20. Force Majeure
We are not liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations due to events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to system outages, third-party service failures, internet disruptions, natural disasters, acts of government, or other force majeure events.
21. Dispute Resolution
Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the service shall be resolved through binding arbitration administered in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, conducted in Austin, Texas, rather than in court, except where prohibited by applicable law.
You agree to waive the right to participate in class action lawsuits or class-wide arbitration. You agree to waive the right to a jury trial.
If any part of this arbitration provision is found unenforceable, the remainder shall continue to apply.
22. Modifications
We may update these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated to users. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
23. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, United States. Any disputes not subject to arbitration shall be resolved in the courts of Travis County, Texas.
