1. Information We Collect

- Academic information such as GPA, coursework, credits, test scores, and school preferences
- Activities, experiences, reflections, essays, school lists, deadlines, notes, and application-related content
- Documents or written materials you upload, paste, draft, save, or export through the platform
- Support messages, billing questions, feedback, and correction requests you send to us
- Usage information such as pages visited, feature activity, progress events, device/browser information, and error logs
2. How We Use Information
We use your information to:
- Provide, operate, secure, and maintain the platform
- Generate structured guidance, writing support, readiness checks, trackers, and application tools
- Track progress, save drafts, update your profile evaluation, and personalize recommendations
- Process payments, manage plan access, provide support, and respond to account requests
- Detect misuse, enforce our Terms and Acceptable Use Policy, and protect the platform and users
- Improve system performance using aggregated, de-identified, or anonymized data
3. AI-Assisted Processing
Some features use automated or AI-assisted processing to generate feedback, drafts, summaries, organization suggestions, readiness checks, or application guidance based on information you provide. You remain responsible for reviewing and approving all outputs before use.
We do not use your personal application content to generate materials for other users. We do not sell your personal content. We do not send your personal content to third-party services for the purpose of training their AI models.
4. Content Ownership and Use
You retain ownership of all content you provide.
We process, store, and analyze your content only to provide, secure, and improve the service. Your individual content is not shared with other users and is not used to generate outputs for other users.
We may use aggregated, de-identified, or anonymized usage patterns to improve product quality, reliability, and evaluation methods.
5. Data Sharing and Service Providers
We do not sell your personal data.
We may use third-party service providers for hosting, authentication, database storage, payment processing, email delivery, analytics, monitoring, customer support, and AI-assisted functionality. These providers are used to operate, secure, and improve the platform.
We do not store full payment card numbers. Payment information is processed by third-party payment providers. We may receive limited billing metadata such as plan, payment status, transaction identifiers, and contact information needed to manage access and support.
We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or security of Tafel, users, institutions, or the public.
6. Cookies, Analytics, and Product Events
We may use cookies, local storage, log files, and analytics tools to keep users signed in, measure product usage, diagnose errors, improve conversion, protect against abuse, and understand which features are useful. Browser settings may allow you to limit some cookies, but parts of the service may not function without required cookies.
7. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. No system can guarantee absolute security, and you acknowledge that you provide information at your own risk.
You are responsible for protecting your login credentials, using a secure email account, and notifying us if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.
8. Your Responsibilities
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide.
You should not submit sensitive personal data that is not required for your coursework, exam preparation, application planning, or writing support.
You are responsible for ensuring that any content you upload complies with applicable laws, institutional policies, and the rights of other people.
9. Minors and Parents
Users under 18 must have parental or guardian consent. Parents or guardians are responsible for supervising use of the platform by minors. A parent or guardian may contact us about access, correction, or deletion requests related to a minor user.
10. Data Retention, Export, and Deletion
We retain your data while your account is active and as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent abuse, and maintain business records.
You are responsible for keeping your own copies of critical application materials. The platform is not intended to be your only storage location for important documents.
You may request account deletion, correction, or access assistance by contacting support@tafellearn.com. We may retain limited records where required for legal, security, accounting, fraud prevention, or dispute-resolution purposes.
11. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes may be communicated through the platform, email, or an updated effective date. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
